MSC Cruises' private island, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, will temporarily close on April 7, 2024. The island, located in the Bahamas, is a popular destination for MSC cruise passengers. It features a variety of amenities, including seven beach areas, motorized and non-motorized water activities including kayaking, snorkeling, catamaran sailing, and jet skiing. The closure of Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve is expected to last for six weeks and will affect multiple cruise ships including MSC Seashore, MSC Seascape, MSC Divina, and MSC Meraviglia. In the meantime, MSC Cruises will offer alternative itineraries for passengers who were planning to visit the island. These itineraries will include stops at other popular destinations in the Bahamas, such as Nassau, Freeport, and Great Stirrup Cay.
