A new $2 billion theme park is set to open in Oklahoma in 2026. The park, called American Heartland Theme Park and Resort, will be located in Vinita, Oklahoma, on historic Route 66 and is being designed by a team that includes over 20 former Walt Disney Imagineers and Disney Park Builders. The park will be spread across 1,000 acres (which rivals the size of Magic Kingdom) and will feature six themed lands, including:
Great Plains
Bayou Bay
Big Timber Falls
Stony Point Harbor
Liberty Village
Electropolis
The park will also feature a 300-acre RV park and campground which can accommodate 750 RVs and 300 cabins and will be the largest RV park in central US. It will also feature a 300-room hotel and an indoor water park making it an ideal place to visit as a family.
American Heartland Theme Park and Resort is expected to create more than 3,000 jobs during construction and 1,500 permanent jobs once the park is open. The park is also expected to attract more than 4.9 million visitors per year.

"We are committed to creating a park that is both fun and educational, and we believe that American Heartland will be a great addition to the state of Oklahoma."
The park is currently in the planning stages, and construction is expected to begin in 2023. The RV portion of the project is expected to be completed in spring 2025 followed by the theme park opening scheduled for 2026.
